Our Services
There is an art to making your carpet clean and last longer.
The main reason why your carpet wears out is because of foot traffic and dirt particles that get trapped in the carpet pile. When you walk on your carpet, the dirt and grit have an abrasive effect on the carpet fibers. In time this will affect both the colour and appearance of your carpet and obviously will lessen the age and durability.
Let us just start by saying no carpets last forever, however you can add years to your carpets life by following our simple few steps.
- We Recommend using a special vacuume cleaner with a power head. This will ensure a high standard of cleaning every time. This vacuuming should be done at least once a week, so as to remove all the dirt particles without allowing them to settle beneath the pile.
- Place mats at main entry or exit points in the home or office, thus allowing these mats to minimize the dirt or grit one brings inside.
- After some time you will notice traffic areas and stains will be quite visible, this is when we would advise you to contact us to clean your carpets. Please be aware the longer you leave this, the harder it will be for us to properly maintain and clean your carpets to our standard. We recommend professional cleaning 1 – 2 times a year depending on the traffic and carpet colour.

- Window Cleaning

- General End-of-lease Cleaning
- At Bensons we also provide you with professional cleaners to save you the time and hassle of having to worry about cleaning the home once you move out. We clean everything, windows ovens, bathrooms, wash walls, kitchens and the list goes on. We work on an hourly rate and we require a minimum of 3 hours per job. We can also arrange permanent house or office cleaners for you, if you require weekly or fortnightly cleans.
- Protection for your carpet, rugs or upholstery
- How good is our protection, well it’s a very effective way to prolong soil and stain resistance, and it also enhances your carpet and upholstery performance. Our protection coats each fiber and creates a powerful invisible shield, thus increases the surface tension significantly. The advantage of our protection is it enhances the ability to repel liquid and other major stains. The dirt and spills can be effectively removed before staining occurs. Our protection can be placed on all carpets and upholstery types that leaves no unpleasant odors, it is also completely safe for your family and pets at home.
Steam vs. Dry
| Dry | Steam |
|---|---|
|
Pros
Your carpets will be dry a lot faster than if steam cleaned |
Pros
The Steam cleaning process does a deeper clean that removes the dirt and grit that wears away at your carpet fibers. |
|
Cons
This process is not designed to be a deep clean; more of only a top-surface clean. The dirt and grit that is deeper in the pile will remain behind and when walked on wear away at the carpet fibers like sandpaper. This leads to premature “traffic lanes” which make the carpet look worn and shabby. Also, the Dry cleaning process doesn’t have a rinsing action which means the cleaning solution remains on the carpet. This can leave the carpet fibers sticky and can attract dust particles. |
Cons
Over wetting of the carpet can occur if the carpet is not professionally pre-vacuumed. If there is a lot of dirt and grit on the surface of the carpet before steam cleaning begins, it requires a lot of water and detergent to remove. If a carpet is over wet, it can wrinkle or even shrink. With our Steam cleaning process your carpet is flushed with a solution of water and detergent, when the carpet dries, the water will simply evaporate. |
